SSD (Solid State Drives) are a form of storage technology. It is a much faster storage than HDD (Hard Disk Drive) storage. Faster storage means your data gets written to and read from your storage faster. This means that your websites will load much faster if they are running on SSD storage

Solid State Drive or SSD is a data storage device that uses flash memory to store data. Two key components make up an SSD: a flash controller and NAND flash memory chips. SSD works similar to a traditional hard drive. A traditional hard drive will have spinning disks and moveable read and write heads, SSDs in contrast use microchips and no moving parts. Most SSD’s use NAND based flash memory they retain memory even without power. SSD drives have advantages over the traditional hard drive.
Advantages:
· More Talent to extreme temperatures
· Silent Operation
· Use less power and create less heat
· Weigh less than hard drives
· Faster boot up and start up times
· Easy to install

A solid-state drive is a solid-state storage device that uses integrated circuit assemblies to store data persistently, typically using flash memory, and functioning as secondary storage in the hierarchy of computer storage.

Well, the speed of accessing the data on an SSD server also depends on the bandwidth of the transmission allowed.
There is no use of a fast SSD kinda server if you cannot transmit the data as fast.
If the server storage is fast but the bus available to transmit the data is not fast then it means latency is also present in the equation, which is not a good sign.
All in all, fast storage does not guarantee fastness if the bus is not fast.
