The first thing I know about it is that your site or blog must be 6 months old before applying for adsense. You must have better and legal content on it to get the approval. If you have that criteria than you can apply for adsense directly. Once you get the approval you can place the ads as you like.

Second way is, you can use some article writing site which is connected with Google adsense. You can create adsense account using that article writing site after writing few quality articles on them. After making account you can use it on your own site too. This is the easy way to get the approval from it. But your writing quality matters in this section too.

Get a top level domain. Host your website. Focus on a niche (overcome the temptation of covering too many subjects), write quality contents, try to attract traffic oragnic from search engines and social media. If you have good numbers of contents, good traffic and your website is at least 3 months old, apply for adsense. Before you apply to adsense, make sure you are not running any ads.

You mentioned 3 months old. Has rules changed later on? As far as I know in past it was about 6 month. One should have 6 month old domain name to get the approval from the adsense. I don't know if the rules has changed later on.

Hmm, it's been a long time since I applied for Google Adsense but from what I remember, the account application requirement is just the link to the website or blog plus some pertinent data like real name and home address. The first time I received payment from Google Adsense is via postal mail maybe to check if my home address is correct. Of course, there's no need to mention that your site should be decent because porn sites are not accepted.

Yes! Now you can get approved by adsense in just 3 months. I can say so because two of my friends have been approved recently. The main reason they told me to get approval was their content and traffic source. They have a YouTube channel about gaming and they redirects people for more information to their website to which adsense is attached. That's how it worked for them and their website is now 3 to 4 months old.
