Adding boards

When we started with our forum, I remember that there were only 6 boards. But as days passed, our observation told us that we should be expanding the forum by adding more boards to make the subject matter wider. It seems that the more boards, the better. However, too many boards can ruin the visibility and may only confuse the community particularly the newbies.

What do you think of the number of boards?

I have main boards and then a slew of sub boards. I would try to find a general subject for the main boards and then break the subject down into more specifics with sub boards in those general subject boards. Make it so that the boards are collapsible also. That makes it much easier to navigate for most.
